CANNONBALL STOREFRONT

Full featured Android app store for TV and mobile operators

Multi-device multi-screen support

Cannonball Storefront is ideal for multi-network operators as it works across set-top-boxes, smartphones, and tablets with a single unified account for a user across all of his devices. A single subscription or purchase becomes valid across all of the user’s devices. Further, the platform is smart enough to offer and deploy the appropriate game or app to each device after accounting for its hardware and software capability.

In-App-Purchase and virtual currency wallet

Developers can add operator billing support for In-App-Purchase (IAP) of virtual goods without having to change their main billing code on their existing Android app. IAP of both, consumable & non-consumable virtual goods, is supported. Additionally, the operator can choose to offer a common service-wide virtual currency wallet for in-game consumption and purchases.

Dynamic offer and catalog management

Cannonball Storefront can be managed with a high degree of flexibility even while it is live. App and IAP prices can be adjusted dynamically and offers can be rolled out as required. Further, app categories can be created, removed, or renamed. Apps can be added, removed, updated, or moved across categories. Meta-categories such as ‘Sale’, ‘Featured’ and ‘Recommended’ can be created and managed on the fly.

Compatible with Cannonball Arcade

Cannonball Storefront is compatible with and can work alongside with Cannonball Arcade. Android Console Gaming can be offered as a managed service with a large choice of games while other OTT apps can be deployed in a marketplace model or for individual subscriptions via Cannonball Storefront.

Works on any  Android set-top-box

Cannonball Storefront can be quickly integrated with any Android set-top-box including AOSP and certified Android TV set-top-boxes. If a heterogeneity of set-top-box configurations is deployed, a different subset of the app catalog can be made available for each set-top-box type based on its hardware and software capability. Finally, Cannonball Storefront can be configured to work with the remote control unit deployed by the operator.

Cobranding & customization

Cannonball Storefront can be launched as a cobranded operator offering. The color palette of user interface can be fully customized to match that of the set-top-box EPG. Additionally, a full featured API is provided that allows for complete UI customization and a deeper integration with the EPG.
